A Full-Stack School Management System Built for Modern School Operations
DionyxSMS is a web-based school management platform designed to bring administration, academics, examinations, attendance, and student management into one system.
The goal was to replace fragmented school workflows with a single platform where administrators, teachers, students, drivers, and other school staff can work from role-specific dashboards.
The Challenge
Many schools still depend on a mixture of spreadsheets, paper records, messaging apps, and disconnected tools to manage everyday operations.
I wanted to build a system that could handle these workflows in one place while still being flexible enough to support different school roles and permissions.
What I Built
I designed and developed the platform as a multi-role school management system with features including:
• Student and staff management
• Role-based dashboards and access control
• Class, subject, and academic management
• Attendance tracking with QR-based workflows
• GPS-enabled driver and transportation tracking
• Examination and CBT functionality
• Admission and student onboarding workflows
• Academic results and report management
• School administration dashboards
• Real-time updates for operational data
The system was designed around the actual day-to-day workflows of a school rather than treating the product as a simple student database.
I handled the product development across the frontend and backend, including the application architecture, database design, authentication, role-based permissions, dashboards, school workflows, file management, and real-time functionality.
One of the more interesting parts was bringing operational features such as attendance, transportation tracking, examinations, and student management together without making the system feel like a collection of unrelated modules.
Outcome
DionyxSMS became a working school management platform capable of supporting the different workflows involved in running a modern school, from student administration and attendance through examinations and academic reporting.
