My focus on Aardvark was bringing a bold book-club experience together with smooth, responsive browsing.
I worked with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, starting with the visitor journey from the homepage to the book catalogue and individual titles. I worked through search, genre filters, gifting and FAQs, paying attention to how visitors move between the pages.
The most detailed part of my work was refining mobile navigation. I improved keyboard focus, Escape dismissal and skip links, then tightened form validation so the interface was easier to use with touch and keyboard.
I checked the main browsing journeys on desktop and mobile, including catalogue filtering, navigation and layout overflow. This helped me work through usability details while keeping the playful colours, bold typography and book imagery consistent across screen sizes.
The result is a responsive frontend that combines a distinctive visual identity with a clear way to discover and explore books.
