The BFG - Haptic Design

This project was created as an educational resource. Haptic Design: Design for people with disabilities.

The inspiration point for this project was the children's story 'El Gigante Bonachón' (The BFG). When considering options to develop the concept, we focused on bringing attention to the senses; especially sight. That's how we came about: 'Tinta Invisible'; which means Invísible Ink; the one that's always there, but can't always see it. Appears when you pay attention to other senses. We wanted to create a complete experience, focused on developing the senses.

For this specific material we wanted to focus on giving more importance to the inclusive part of the design; that's why the focus is placed on the braille, instead of the printed text.

All illustrations are simple to understand, lined, and represent specific scenes. We added illustrations with texture, pop-up, and relief.
