Fieldwork turns a service enquiry into an organised request and an itemised quote. It is a working fictional app for a commercial property maintenance business, developed from my earlier service-request interface study.

Start with a customer request and a live estimate. Open the linked record in the operations queue, review the scope, edit the quote, add an internal note and move it through review and approval. Approved pricing stays locked until the record is reopened. Search and filters keep the queue useful as records grow.

The demo also produces a printable quote and CSV export. Rates, requests and notes persist in the same browser, and a reset restores the fictional starting data. Responsive layouts cover the customer flow and the operator workspace.

This demonstrates the kind of custom business software I can deliver: guided forms, calculators, work queues, configurable rules, record editing and useful documents. A client version can add team accounts, shared database storage and agreed connections to existing business tools.

I’ve worked with ChatGPT since its beta. My role is to turn business goals into clear instructions, challenge weak outputs, and direct revisions toward a finished, tested product. I work with GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI’s most capable model; AI tools carry out implementation and many checks.

This is an original fictional demonstration with browser-local data. It is not a client engagement or a connected production service. The earlier static concept is retained as part of the design history.
