Cake Lab started as a simple problem I kept seeing: cake shops losing time (and orders) to messy back-and-forth conversations with customers trying to describe what they want.
So I built a guided cake-builder a tool that lets customers design their custom cake step by step, instead of typing paragraphs into a DM or a form no one reads properly.
The first version was solid, but it looked and felt like every other tool out there:
š Old version: cake-lab.org/blog
When I rebuilt it in Base44, that changed completely. What used to take manual structuring now comes together with actual intelligence behind it cleaner flows, faster iteration, and a UI that finally feels like a real product instead of a prototype.
š New version: alchemy-cake-lab.base44.app
This isn't just a redesign. It's the version of Cake Lab I actually wanted to build from day one
one that bakeries could hand to a customer and trust it to just work.
Still refining a few flows before I lock in my final submission, but I'm proud of how far this has come in a short time.
