This started as an idea for an 18th birthday gift and ended up being 10 years of our life. We designed over 50 products, built the most innovative personalisation tech of the time, grew the company to a team of 30 and $25m in sales, and shipped personalised books to 176 countries worldwide. Through our mistakes and successes, we became experts in e-commerce, performance marketing, product management, storytelling, raising capital, and nearly running out of capital. It was never easy, but it was always meaningful. The company was acquired in 2022 by Wonderbly, the world’s largest children’s personalised book company.
