Onitama is an engaging board game for two players, blending strategy and simplicity in a duel of wits. We developed the digital version of this classic, staying true to its core mechanics while enhancing the player experience with intuitive digital features. Players take on the role of a master guiding their monk followers, with the objective of either capturing the opponent’s master (Way of the Stone) or moving their master to the opponent’s Temple Arch (Way of the Stream) to claim victory.

Seamless Gameplay Experience: We meticulously recreated the original gameplay mechanics, ensuring that the digital version retained the strategic depth and quick decision-making that fans love.

Dual Victory Paths: Incorporated both winning methods—capturing the opponent’s master and reaching the opponent’s temple—to offer players the full range of strategic options.

User-Friendly Interface: Designed an interface that is easy to navigate, allowing players to focus on their strategy without any digital distractions.

Our digital adaptation of Onitama captures the essence of the board game, offering an accessible, strategic, and immersive experience for both new and seasoned players. This project underscores our commitment to preserving the integrity of beloved board games while enhancing their playability in a digital format.
