Morning Brew

Rachel joined Morning Brew in September 2020 to take over the company’s existing quarantine-focused newsletter, The Essentials, and to rebrand and relaunch it as a mainstay, lifestyle product.

She led the creative development process—from naming the newsletter to designing its format. In November 2020, Rachel and the Morning Brew team launched Sidekick, a 2x newsletter curating recommendations around smarter living. Now with over 170,000 subscribers, Rachel has grown Sidekick beyond the newsletter both through Sidekick’s own social platforms and on-site content. Here’s a little more on how Sidekick came to be.

In addition to writing the newsletter, Rachel wrote and published the 2020 Sidekick Holiday Gift Guideand the 2021 Sidekick Graduation Gift Guide. Both guides were some of the highest performing pieces at the Brew, with the Holiday Gift Guide receiving 488K+ views within its first month of launch.

Rachel also launched her own editorial series called “Opening Up,” where she chatted with business owners, creators, and entrepreneurs about navigating their businesses throughout the pandemic and their post-pandemic tips.
