All-In-One Landing Page and Portfolio on Carrd

Amber Jane Sayoc

As I prepare to graduate from university and enter the workforce, I created a centralized social media reference landing page (like LinkedIn) and portfolio.
This project was inspired by Zoe Chew from Notion's Medium article on "How I Built & Launched Personal Website in 1 Hour." https://whizzoe.medium.com/how-i-built-launched-a-personal-website-in-1-hour-9524159ad595
I created my own Carrd account and dove straight into building my own personal website, switching back and forth between Zoe's example, my resume, and notes on my Notion. It was both a personal development venture and a personal challenge to see if I could develop my own website. In the past, I've tried creating my own website from scratch before on Wix, but I got overwhelmed with the process. I also undervalued the work I had done in the past and thus, felt a website was too daunting for my supposed lack of skill and experience.
Similar to Zoe's website, I included a homepage, about, and contact. However, I added a couple other section and links that I want to try using and promoting more in the future:
GoFundMe (for my late grandmother's funeral expenses)
Discount Codes
LinkedIn
Ko-Fi
Substacks
Contra
I shown my Carrd website to some family and friends and have offered to create one for them for personal, professional, and business uses. The people in my life do fantastic things and have a lot to offer, but the rest of the world just doesn't know it yet. I hope I can offer my growing skillset to empower and inspire others, even myself.
