Inspiration

This project started with the goal of producing a short film of a manageable length from beginning to end, including writing, casting, producing, shooting, and editing.

Production

Following story-writing and preproduction workshops, I developed a narrative I was pleased with and created a storyboard to guide the necessary shots for editing. I allocated a week for shooting, assembled the main cast, and enlisted additional assistance to ensure its success. Throughout production, I valued the input of my cast members, professors, and director of photography to achieve a satisfactory outcome. The cameraman's guidance was particularly valuable, prompting me to consider alternative shots due to challenging filming locations.

After an intense week of shooting, overcoming scheduling difficulties alongside my university commitments, I got all the required shots. I dedicated a couple of weeks to craft the initial rough cut. Incorporating feedback from my peers, I approached the project with a critical eye, refining the visuals and enhancing the audio with additional foley work. Finally, I completed the final cut and also created a blooper reel.
