Amplifon: Designing a Hearing Companion & Ecosystem

Omni-Channel Digital Experience

Amplifon wanted to redefine its digital presence to match its mission as the global leader in hearing care solutions. I was the Lead Designer for both the global website and the Amplifon app — two connected experiences that empower customers to book appointments, manage their hearing aids, and access expert support anywhere.
How do we bring Amplifon’s personalized hearing care to life online and on-the-go? The goal was to create a seamless experience that connects physical stores, expert audiologists, and smart hearing devices in one consistent ecosystem. The website and app work together to help customers stay in control of their hearing health wherever they are.
Challenge & Purpose
We started with deep research and workshops with Amplifon’s teams and customers to map journeys across touchpoints. The concept phase focused on clear user flows for booking, remote support, and device management. We translated this into detailed wireframes and prototypes for both platforms, ensuring they work smoothly together and reflect Amplifon’s trusted brand.
Throughout the design and build, we worked closely with local markets, tech partners, and product owners. I led the creation of a unified design system covering both the website and the app, ensuring a consistent look and feel across channels. We also delivered clear guidelines so local teams can adapt content without losing brand coherence.
Strategy & Structure
A warm, accessible design inspired by Amplifon’s commitment to personal care. The shared design system bridges the website and the app, creating a seamless experience whether users are researching solutions, booking check-ups, or adjusting their devices at home.
So far, the Amplifon app has reached over 10,000 downloads — more than double the original target of 4,000. Active usage sits at 15%, nearly eight times the 2% forecast.
On launch day, Amplifon’s share price jumped by 10%, and since the start of its digital transformation strategy, the company has achieved 50% annual EPS growth and a 276% rise in stock value. Conversion rates have more than doubled from an expected 2% to 5% today, with a target audience penetration of 15% — five times higher than planned when the business case was approved.
