Greyduck needed an extra animator for a two-venue event production for Databricks. Someone with enough seniority to make good technical decisions on their own, but who could take creative direction and execute without being managed.
I came in as one of three animators.
The Scope
Venue 1: Las Vegas Sphere — looping animation mapped to the interior surface. Venue 2: Atomic Golf — 17 animations across 17 surfaces in 14 aspect ratios.
Timeline: 2 weeks, both deliverables
The Technical Problem
The Atomic Golf aspect ratios were extreme enough that Frame.io couldn't display them correctly. Preview and client feedback had to be rerouted. Spotting that kind of friction before it costs someone time is part of what I bring to a production.
The Work
I animated from pre-built Figma boards and storyboards. Greyduck owned the creative direction. My job was to execute it precisely and at pace.
That still requires judgment. A board shows you what. It doesn't show you timing, easing, where a loop point lands, or how an element settles. Those decisions compound across 17 surfaces and 14 aspect ratios.
The Result
On-deadline across both venues. Sphere animations confirmed on-site. The client noted the technical expertise, easy collaboration, and proactive problem-spotting.
You bring the direction. I handle the rest. Let's talk.
