Evidence-first Windows Product Validation

OVERVIEW A clean-environment validation of a public developer-product onboarding journey on Windows. I tested the journey from installation through the full regression suite and classified only independently reproducible findings as confirmed defects.
OUTCOME • 4 confirmed cross-platform defects across documentation, dependency installation, CRLF handling, and path-separator assertions. • A minimal 10-file compatibility patch. • 107 / 107 tests passing after remediation. • A second fresh-clone patch check to rule out environment-only success.
METHOD I modeled the customer journey, reproduced each failure cleanly, isolated the smallest root cause, proposed the least disruptive fix, and reran targeted and full regression checks.
EVIDENCE STANDARD This was an AI-agent-assisted validation project. Every reported finding remained independently reproducible and evidence-backed; hypotheses and untested behavior were not presented as facts.
