Manuscripts, to begin with, have a lot of work but the most important part is to understand the message and concept that the Author is trying to convey. During the first read, I take my time to make separate notes, understanding the full context of the manuscript. I start with the basic editing including, grammar checks, formatting, and such. After that, I try to make changes to the sentences by rewriting them and changing their tone, order of words, and syntax. Developmental writing is the next step where I add some writing depending on the need for clarification or explanation to convey the author's message. Here are the steps that I use to edit the manuscripts.
