A Hyper localised two-sided job marketplace that matches recruiters with best-suited candidates
Taraki is an innovative two-sided job recruitment marketplace built specifically for the Pakistani market, focusing on both blue-collar and white-collar workers. The project took 9 months to complete with a dedicated team of 6 professionals, including a software architect, UI/UX designer, three engineers, a QA specialist, and a project manager. The platform launched in August 2023 and has since grown to over 10,000 active users.
The core challenge was to create a candidate-centric recruitment solution that would automate the hiring process and eliminate the need for expensive third-party staffing agencies. Unlike traditional job boards where candidates simply browse listings, Taraki empowers workers to create comprehensive profiles that employers can discover through an advanced search algorithm. This approach has resulted in a 35% reduction in hiring costs and a 50% faster recruitment process for companies.
One of the most significant technical challenges was migrating the platform from Bubble.io to a fully coded solution without any downtime or data loss. The team had to build both a web portal and a native Android mobile application while ensuring seamless integration and consistent user experience across platforms. Additionally, they developed a sophisticated keyword-based search algorithm with weighted filters that matches employers with suitable candidates based on skills, experience, location, and salary expectations.
The final product consists of three main components. The mobile app for job seekers includes SMS verification, work history tracking, resume uploads, dynamic skill quizzes, and salary information. The employer web portal features advanced candidate search with smart filters, WhatsApp integration for direct communication, comprehensive analytics dashboards, and job posting management. The admin panel provides tools for managing users, moderating company profiles, handling premium accounts, and monitoring system performance.
The technology stack includes Angular and TypeScript for the frontend, NestJS for the backend, PostgreSQL for the database, and AWS for infrastructure. The development process was divided into three phases: three months of discovery and analysis for requirements gathering and architecture planning, six months of core development including backend API, frontend, and mobile app creation, and finally the launch phase with ongoing support and maintenance. The client praised the team's exceptional understanding and professionalism, especially given the early-stage uncertainty around product direction when they first partnered.
