Concept, camera, action! Creative Video Series

Burcu Binguler

One of the earliest projects that fueled her career as an independent creative, Burcu led the development and production of three original video series for Google Türkiye in 2018.

The project marked a departure in Burcu’s career from account management into full-time creative path. Leveraging the boutique agency environment, she took on full creative ownership despite her junior title, playing a central role in the entire process from pitching to delivery.

How it started

The goal was to create three distinct video series targeting marketing professionals, focused on:
success stories to showcasing client achievements using Google products in collaboration with Google Partner agencies,
C-level interviews for high-level industrial insights, and
educational videos featuring the newest trends and insights in search and digital marketing.

Pitching & pre-production

The main challenge to begin with was to translate the ideas and approaches developed on the agency side into tangible formats that met Google’s high brand standards and to communicate these clearly with the client to get them onboard.
Burcu took the lead in shaping the formats and developing all the pitching assets to support this translation, including moodboards, storyboards and timelines, that helped align all stakeholders early in the process. Not only did these materials had to be convincing to sell the project but they also needed to draw a solid and feasible creative framework that could be executed well within the limitations of budget, time and other resources.

Production

After refining the direction with the client, Burcu and the team moved into the preparations for production. The next challenge was setting up a functional studio within one of Google’s facilities to film the approved content. Here, Burcu played a central role in constructing the studio setup, blending the agency’s production know-how with detailed planning and tight communication with all the stakeholders. She led operations on-site and acted as the bridge between the client, agency, and technical teams—solving logistical challenges and securing resources to ensure the production could begin on time.
While coordinating the physical production, she also oversaw the pre-production of desktop and motion assets. She made sure that all assets aligned with Google’s branding and quality standards, as well as with the agreed creative direction.
Once everything was aligned and the studio was ready, cameras started rolling.

Impact

The three video series launched on Google Türkiye's YouTube channel, reaching thousands of marketers and offering insights into digital marketing, Google’s success stories, and best practices for making the most of the Google ecosystem. It supported Think with Google TR in gaining visibility and recognition as a valuable resource for professionals in the local industry.
Beyond its success for both client and agency, the project had a definitive impact on Burcu’s career in giving her the confidence to work independently and laying the foundation for her future in brand-focused environments, and ultimately becoming a milestone in her professional path.
