The Duck River is considered to be one of the most biologically diverse rivers in the United States and is arguably the state of Tennessee’s most important aquatic resource.
🚨A Louisiana landfill company called Trinity Group, also known as Duck River LLC, purchased a huge 1300 acre plot of land along the Duck River here in Maury County. We do not need this landfill! It is bad for our community. This project will be a place to share news about this potential landfill and coordinate about making sure it never happens.

The potential impacts on the health of the community along with the loss of property values are strong enough reasons for the Maury County Commissioners to deny the application for a new mega dump. Save the Duck, a group concerned about the landfill’s impact on the river, We have put together an easy way for everyone to submit comments to the county commission asking that they help oppose this new landfill!
