Waiting for motivation…

Working is a necessity, so it seems? We all need to make a living. No, we need earnings to make a living. I can make a living, if I have a shelter, food, and clothes. Truth be told, we struggle to find affordable house and having a home is a dream. Food has really become ‘If I can afford, I’ll eat or else I’m good not having eaten too’. Clothes again are an affordability factor or an element to show off.
Most of what we do, somehow manages to never be for ourselves. I sure am talking in the perspective of someone who can afford basic amenities, but the dreams to want for more is a constant. Satisfaction seems like mirage I walked into in a dream while I was asleep, and I woke up into the mirage which turned out to be a lie in reality. The mirage should be a hope towards a dream, but this mirage seems to go farther as I get closer to it.
Dreams are a motivation? Yes, they definitely can be. Every time things don’t go the way I wanted it to, I wonder why I even started doing it. It sure must have had a purpose, it can’t be so meaningless. The moment I find purpose, I get back to working because, quitting doesn’t seem reasonable. The only problem is, quitting can be reasonable. The dilemma of wanting peace and wanting money is a conflicting reflection. It’s as though I am appreciating myself in the mirror whilst stating the obvious faults.
What can be a motivation? Honestly anything and everything can be a motivation. It all ties down to the why’s and how's. ‘Why do I need it?’ and ‘How shall I get it?’ I am sad and can't work? No problem, dance to any rhythms of day or night. I’m tired and need to keep working, a cupcake might give me the energy to run the stairways to hell. The point is you can motivate yourself in the lowest of times, but it needs to be you.
Can a friend help? Yes, if it’s a cat or a dog. Just kidding, yes, it is possible a friend who is a human can cheer you up and push you forward, but in the end it is you who needs to be motivated. People will try, but you need to make it work for you and nobody else can. Relying on others is never wrong, but don’t forget to rely on yourself too. You know you better, you are your own strength. There is never a fixed way to motivate, it happens. If you think quitting is reasonable, then no, it is not a bad idea to quit. Get back later, it’s okay.
Do anything that seems fit in the realms of reasonability and fit to your lifestyle and dream. Things will fall in place and make sense. Prioritize living to be able to live your dreams.
Have a great day! Zesh
