Project Overview

Two distinct edits created from the same raw footage for Wonderblush, a premium makeup brand. A cinematic hero video and a fast-paced 13-second social cut - each designed for a different context, both built around the same macro-first, texture-forward visual language.

Edit 1 - Hero Video

A longer-form brand edit that walks through the full product story with deliberate pacing and editorial rhythm.
The video opens with an eye-catching macro shot of a finger sliding across the blush stick — an immediate hook built on texture and touch. From there, a series of tight cuts walk through the complete product experience:
Blush stick in tube
Cap removed, product revealed
Texture close-up inside the tube
Brush picking up product
Application on cheek
Blending
Final result on skin
Each cut lands on a beat - clean and rhythmic without feeling rushed. Subtle ASMR sound design runs throughout, layered under an instrumental music track. Color grading maintains accurate product color while elevating the warmth of skin tones and the richness of the blush finish.

Edit 2 - Social Media Version (13 seconds)

A fast, attention-grabbing cut designed to demonstrate the product and stop the scroll in under 15 seconds. Every frame earns its place.
Sequence:
Cap pulled off the blush tube - immediate texture reveal as the hook
Brush sweeps gently along the blush surface — first text overlay appears (product name)
Product held in hand
Product applied on cheek - tight macro
Blended out
Extreme close-up of skin - moist texture, rich color payoff visible
Second text overlay appears (shade name)
Brush swipes across cheek
Model's cheek up close - color payoff demonstrated
Product held next to cheek - connecting product to result
Macro shot of the logo pressed into the blush surface
Product standing on shelf as hero - slowly rotating to reveal brand name and glossy tube
Soft music and subtle sound design accompany each movement. Text overlays are timed to reinforce the product and shade name without interrupting the visual flow.

Sound & Color

Both edits share the same sound design approach - soft instrumental music layered with subtle ASMR that accompanies every product movement. Color grading was applied to both edits to maintain product color accuracy while enhancing the warmth and richness of the skin and blush tones.

Result

Both edits were used by Wonderblush on their social media channels as product feature content.
