I created a detailed Business Requirements Document (BRD) for a fintech mobile application focused on seamless money transfers, digital wallet features, and secure user authentication. The BRD outlines the business goals, scope, user personas, workflows, functional requirements, and success criteria needed to guide product, engineering, and compliance teams.
The client was building a digital payment application but faced misalignment between business, UX, and technical teams. There was no structured document outlining features, constraints, or compliance requirements. This resulted in communication gaps, delays, and unclear expectations.
I developed a comprehensive BRD covering:
Business goals and scope
User personas and use cases
Compliance & regulatory requirements
AS-IS and TO-BE workflows
Functional and non-functional requirements
Data flow and security considerations
The BRD establishes a clear direction for cross-functional teams while reducing uncertainty during development.
The BRD aligned all stakeholders, clarified project scope, and helped the client prioritize features for the MVP. As a result, the product team achieved faster design iterations, reduced rework, and improved communication across engineering and compliance teams.
