Coed Hills Rural Art Space Photography & Drone Shoot
Photography and aerial drone production for Coed Hills Rural Art Space, a sustainable creative community set across 180 acres of woodland and pasture in the Vale of Glamorgan, 8 miles west of Cardiff. Established in 1997, Coed Hills is one of Wales' leading venues for art in the environment - combining permaculture gardens, woodland sculpture trails, sustainable community living, and a rich programme of events, workshops, and celebrations.
The brief was to capture the general atmosphere and spirit of the site for use across print and web - conveying the unique character of a place where creativity, sustainability, and community life are inseparable. Ground-level photography documents the textures, details, and human energy of the space, while the drone footage brings the full scale and beauty of the landscape to life.
A highlight of the aerial shoot is the stone circle - built to the solar lunar calendar and used for weddings, rituals, and gatherings - filmed with the Cardiff estuary stretching across the horizon beyond, producing a truly striking image of land, community, and place.
