Real-Time Dashboard with Node.js & SSE

Concept project built for a Cloud-Native/Backend portfolio: a lightweight real-time metrics dashboard that streams server updates to the browser with Server-Sent Events (SSE).

An Express server that exposes an SSE endpoint using text/event-stream.

Periodic JSON metric updates sent from server to client.

A browser dashboard that uses the native EventSource API to receive events and update the interface.

Automatic reconnection through the browser's SSE support.

SSE fits one-way real-time updates such as dashboards, live feeds, and monitoring views. It runs over standard HTTP and keeps the implementation focused when the client doesn't need to send live messages back to the server.

Node.js, Express.js, Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and the native EventSource API.
