The Patchwork Voyage | Children's Book Cover

A real client project for a children's picture book aimed at ages 3–7.

The Patchwork Voyage is a heartwarming story about Bear, Fox, and Rabbit who set off on an enchanting journey across a colorful patchwork world. From high above, they discover hidden villages, sparkling rivers, and new friends — learning that adventure is best shared, and home is always worth returning to.

The cover needed to capture the warmth, wonder, and whimsy of the story in a single image. It had to appeal to both young children and the parents buying the book, feel inviting and magical, and communicate the spirit of friendship and adventure instantly.

The design centers on the three main characters — Bear, Fox, and Rabbit — placed in a way that feels like they're embarking on something exciting together. The patchwork world concept was translated visually through rich, warm colors and a layered composition that gives the cover depth and a storybook quality.

Typography was chosen to feel playful but legible, matching the tone of a picture book without feeling childish or flat.
