AppleVille — Matching Remote Workers to Himachali Towns

The problem

People considering a move to Himachal Pradesh for remote work, family, or a quieter pace of life don't have a simple way to compare towns against what actually matters to them. Generic travel content doesn't answer that question.

What I built

AppleVille is a quiz-based recommendation tool. Visitors answer a short set of questions on what they're optimizing for — remote work, quietness, access — and the system matches them against Himachali towns that fit. No sign-up or login is needed, so no personal data is stored.

How it's built

Built solo using Google Antigravity, with Codex 5.4 and Claude Opus 4.6 as the coding agents
Supabase for the backend
Deployed on Vercel

Why it matters

This is a personal project. I'm from Himachal Pradesh, and it's a small way to contribute to the region I'm from — matching the pitch of "vague travel fantasy" against a clearer, criteria-based shortlist. It's live, and I'm continuing to refine the matching logic based on user feedback.

A quiz-based web app matching remote workers to the right Himachali town based on remote-work readiness, quietness, and access — no login, no stored data.
