George de Stefano

In 2017, WFP commissioned a Gender, Risk and Urban Livelihood study in Syria to better understand the changing gender roles in vulnerable and food-insecure urban households due to the conflict, and the protection risks that men and women face when accessing livelihoods. The study informed a number of programmatic entry points for WFP in Syria relating to the design of safe, gender-responsive urban livelihoods programmes.
