class please patch FOUNDATION HIRES NEW SUMMER INTERN COHORT
June 14, 2021 -- Warrenton, Va. -- The PATH Foundation is happy to announce the hiring of 14 college students to their annual Summer Internship Program. The interns will work together to strengthen the overall health and vitality of Fauquier, Rappahannock, and Culpeper counties. The internship program lasts for nine weeks and will conclude on July 30, 2021.
PATH Foundation interns are placed either within the PATH Foundation or with area organizations and partners that align with the PATH Foundation’s mission. Interns are selected based on academic success, past work experience, and interest in serving the community.
This year’s intern placements include the Fauquier Free Clinic, Fauquier Reaches for Excellence in School Health, Aging Together, Remington Community Garden, PATH Foundation Communications, PATH Resource Center, Hero’s Bridge, Habitat for Humanity, the Mental Health Association of Fauquier County, Verdun Adventure Bound, the Piedmont Resolution Center and The Land Trust of Virginia.
The PATH Foundation internship program allows college students to gain professional experience in a philanthropic environment and their respective career interests. And, as all of the accepted interns reside in the PATH Foundation footprint, the program provides a unique opportunity for interns to serve their communities directly.
“The internship program at PATH is not only beneficial to the students that participate, but also the community as a whole. Students can apply their education and training directly to their work,” ***** ****, PATH program associate, said. “Our community, and PATH itself, also benefit from hearing fresh new ideas from the students. We’re honored to host their diverse talents and create a meaningful experience for both the interns and the organizations that host them.”
Each year, the PATH Summer Internship Program hires rising college juniors and seniors of all majors and interests. Please visit the PATH Foundation Intern webpage to learn more about the program and this year’s intern class.
