YouTube UX
I had the chance to work in YouTube's UX team, one of the largest teams at Google, specialized for both design and research. This UX team is committed to creating an environment where all team members can flourish and do their best work sustainably.
I collaborated with a diverse horizontal team, offering UX support and strategic insight. This encompassed roles from visioning and program management to the art department, UX writing, and research, ensuring a comprehensive approach to user experience.
Moderation in YouTube Studio
Under the Community Intelligence team, I lead design efforts for various moderation streams within both the YouTube main app and YouTube Studio. This newly formed team aimed to centralize responsibility strategies across YouTube's product landscape, focusing on addressing key gaps in community spaces.

Solving nuanced edge cases
I played a crucial role in the successful launch of platform-wide features by addressing and solving last-minute edge cases identified by engineers during the development phase. My ability to quickly adapt and propose user-centric solutions ensured that these unforeseen challenges were seamlessly integrated into the design, maintaining a high standard of UX and functionality without compromising the project timeline or launch deadlines.
Reflection
Working as a UX designer at YouTube offered an invaluable glimpse into the dynamics of a large organization, where orchestrating features for successful launches and presenting at major design reviews honed my skills remarkably. This experience not only broadened my understanding of complex project management but also refined my ability to communicate design concepts effectively to diverse audiences, laying a solid foundation for my professional growth in the field of design!
