Red/Acción - Icon design & assets



A news media designed entirely for the mobile device.

Red/Acción is a media start-up. For the icon system, we started by trying to include writing elements in the system, such as quotation marks or parentheses, among others. Later, the system was expanded to a series of illustrations that identified each type of newsletter.

Together with product team and journalists, we designed a website aimed primarily at the mobile news consumer. The insight behind the design was to provide the reader with a summary of the day's news, guided by the news editor. To do so, we designed different types of cards from which the reader can go deeper into each news, check the sources, participate in the newsroom or share the content.

Icon design system
