FairRate — Smart Pricing for Freelancers 💰
Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve been working on a small side project this week — a proof of concept called FairRate, an AI-powered tool that helps freelancers estimate fair pricing for new projects.
I built it because I’ve seen how often freelancers (especially on Contra) wonder:
“How much should I charge for this job?”
FairRate lets you simply paste a job description, select your experience level, region, and contract type, and it uses AI to generate an estimated rate range — with a short explanation of why.

Built in React
Using Firebase AI Studio for the reasoning and generation layer
Hosted with Firebase
It’s still an early POC, but I’d love to get feedback from other freelancers and creators here on Contra.
