Inspirational Illustrator Exercise Poster Design

I was inspired by all the current flat graphic design trend and I wanted to use AI to assist in the design process. I decided to make a motivational exercise poster that I could hang up near my treadmill.

I searched for a simple photo of a woman running. Using my drawing pad, I traced the figure of the woman in Illustrator, filling in color for her clothes, hair, and shoes.

Tracing the photo takes time and only gives me one graphic for one exercise. I used generative AI in Illustrator to generate multiple graphics to represent other exercises. Even though AI created the other graphics I needed, I definitely still had to spend time to clean up the results using my Illustrator skills and creative thinking.

I picked a color palette that had hues from nature – brown and green. I used Chat GPT for copywriting descriptions of exercises.

My prompt included a specific length and my first paragraph describing running as a reference to create paragraphs for other exercises. I used Adobe Illustrator font AI feature to create the main heading for the poster.
