M&A Workflow Platform Development

As the lead developer for a transformative M&A workflow platform, I tackled the challenge of modernizing how investment firms handle their NDA processes and deal flow management. The client, an investment banker turned entrepreneur, brought deep domain expertise that helped shape our technical solutions.

I architected and implemented a document automation system that reduced NDA processing time from hours to seconds. The core functionality included a template management system with granular permission controls, integrated e-signature capabilities via API integrations, and automated document distribution workflows. A key technical achievement was building a secure document pipeline that automatically triggers information memorandum sharing once NDAs are cryptographically verified.

For the deal management component, I developed a real-time tracking system using WebSocket connections to monitor buyer engagement. The collaboration features presented interesting technical challenges around real-time updates and permissions. I built a role-based access control system that manages visibility of sensitive deal information, while enabling seamless information sharing between authorized team members.

This project demonstrated how thoughtful software architecture can transform manual business processes. By deeply understanding the M&A workflow, I was able to automate away administrative overhead while preserving the high-touch aspects that investment professionals value. The platform now processes thousands of NDAs monthly with 99.9% uptime.
