Rocket Design System
Jane Wolf
Rocket Companies exists to be the best at handling life’s most complex moments. Best known for Rocket Mortgage, Rocket has grown into a Family of Companies that supports people through their financial journeys, including Rocket Homes, Rocket Auto, Rocket Money, and Rocket Pro.
Each company had grown its own products, teams, and ways of designing. To feel like one family, and to move faster, those products needed a shared design language. That is the job of the central design systems team.
As Design Systems Manager, I led the design work of Spark Design System and its successor, Rocket Design System, with the goal of unifying design across multiple Rocket companies and products.
I led a team of four component designers (a senior, a mid-level, and a junior designer, plus an intern) within a 20-person design systems organization spanning digital brand foundations, component design, UX engineering, enablement, and strategic communications.
My team tracked each component from the UI kit through Angular and React, plus usage and content guidelines.
New form patterns, designed with accessibility and engineering.
