Heyyy friends — welcome to the very first episode of Neurocomplex Conversations! It’s finally happening! 😻🌈⚡️
This is a quick, slightly unpolished intro where I share what this podcast is all about, who it’s for, and why I’m building it from the ground up.
(Spoiler: it’s for anyone who’s ever felt misunderstood, “too much,” “not enough,” or like your brain just came with a totally different user manual... especially if you were late-diagnosed as neurodivergent or are still in the messy middle of figuring things out.)
In this episode I talk about:
Why I’m craving more real, honest conversations
What makes this podcast a little different
Who you’ll hear from in future episodes — guests with lived experiences that span ADHD, autism, AuDHD, high sensitivity, chronic illness, grief, masking, and more
How I’m making space for different levels of visibility, processing styles, and comfort
Think of this podcast as a grounding place to visit — a space where you can show up as you are, breathe a little deeper, and maybe even recognize yourself in someone else’s story.
💌 New episodes will drop every other Tuesday (first guest episode coming August 5th!). Everything will live here on Substack, and it will always be free + accessible.
This might be a soft launch, but the vision is big — real stories, real connection, and a podcast that feels like home. Thanks for being part of the beginning. Let’s build something beautiful.
With care + gratitude (+ loads of excitement!!🎉),
Kira
If you’re feeling a yes in your body — maybe you’d like to be a guest sometime, or you know someone whose story deserves to be heard — I’d love to hear from you.

📝 Accessibility Note:
If you’re reading this on the Substack app and looking for the full episode transcript, it’s currently only viewable on the web version of this post.
🎶 A quick note on the music:
The track you hear at the beginning + end of each episode is “EONA” by Rockot, found on Pixabay. I love the layered, grounded, reflective vibe — it just felt right.
And if you want to read more about why I’m starting this podcast, here’s the full announcement post I shared recently. 👇🏻👇🏻
This podcast is just getting started — and it’s built for us. If you’d like to help it grow, consider leaving a comment, sharing the post, or inviting someone you care about to tune in.🌿
You’re part of a growing wildflower field here. I’m grateful to be sharing space with you.🦋
🫱🏿🫲🏻A Note on Community:
This is a space built on curiosity, respect, and care. If you’re moved to comment, thank you for doing so with kindness — for me, for my guest, and for others who may be reading vulnerably. Let’s make this a place where it’s safe to be real. 💛
📍Land Acknowledgment:
I currently live + record + create on the ancestral homelands of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) people. With gratitude, I honor their stories, strength, and stewardship of this land.👣
