Udupi Tourism Website Revamp

Udupi Tourism — State-Tourism Website Revamp I worked as a Webflow Developer for Udupi Tourism (https://udupitourism.com/), a digital platform showcasing the cultural, heritage, nature and travel experiences of Udupi district, Karnataka. The goal was to build an engaging, informative, and visually rich website for both tourists and local stakeholders.

Developed the responsive website layout using Webflow, ensuring good performance on desktop, tablet & mobile

Integrated multiple content types: “Explore”, “Experience”, “Accommodations”, Blogs, Events, etc., using CMS collections to make content manageable and scalable

Implemented a custom menu/navigation that organizes content by themes (heritage, adventure, spiritual, etc.) for easy browsing

Set up image galleries, maps / “must-see spots”, itineraries etc., with optimized media to improve load times and visual appeal

Added blog / story modules to share deeper content (heritage, food, festivals) with readers

Ensured accessibility & SEO fundamentals (alt text, semantic markup, headings, metadata)

Coordinated with designers, content writers, and photographers to maintain visual consistency

The challenge was to present a wide variety of content (nature, culture, events, accommodations, etc.) without overwhelming the visitor. To solve this, I structured the site with clear categories and interactive previews.

Also made sure that image-heavy pages didn’t slow down loading, using lazy loading, optimized images, and efficient Webflow CMS usage.
