Trance

Trance is a portal designed for creating subtitles that overlay on videos. Initially, Google AI APIs generate subtitles for a video with 60% accuracy, while the remaining 40% is handled by subtitle workers who correct and create subtitles. The entire process, from project creation to job worker payment, takes place within the Trance portal.

The core component of the project is the caption creation screen, which offers various features such as formatting options (bold/italic), adding special symbols, merging, appending, and deleting captions, spectrograph-based caption creation, multi-language support, and more.

Handling a large volume of data was the most challenging aspect of the project. On average, the video length for jobs is 1-2 hours, resulting in over 2000-3000 captions. Ensuring smooth performance, real-time saving, and providing all the desired features without any lag were our top priorities. This was one out of multiple problems.
