Thank you so much. Now I can move to UK. - My Student

The Problem

My client had written the IELTS exam 3 times before contacting me. She had unfortunately, failed every time. She had amazing ideas to write and talk about, but she failed to communicate them properly. As you imagined, she mostly struggled with the writing and speaking sections of the exam.
On top of that, she was a working professional, so she didn't have time for several classes or discussion sessions.

The Solution

Once she contacted me and told me her problems, I began to devise a specific curriculum for her. Initially, we would both take a problem statement and write our own answers for them. Then I'd help her compare her writing to mine, so she could see where improvements could be made.
After several exercises, I pinpointed where she lacked and we started working on those. Then we did the same thing with speaking sessions.
In about 3 weeks, she wrote her exam again and achieved a better score than what she was hoping for!

Conclusion

Every student is different. This is why in classroom settings or learning from the internet, people tend to lose their passion for the subject. I always make sure to treat each student uniquely and never teach in groups. It's important that every student, no matter their age, deserves special attention to unlock their potential!
