I identified a concerning trend for a current client.
As a bookkeeper, I don't simply take care of your books. I analyze data both month over month and year over year. I was able to notice a trend of my customers profits decreasing month over month. In our quarterly meeting, I brought it up to their attention. We worked together to identify what was causing the loss. I was able to catch that the company never accounted for the increase for the cost of materials and never changed their pricing accordingly. Once the company made the necessary changes, they immediately started noticing their profits increase.
