Enough knowledge for you to form an opinion.
When you think of spirituality, what is the first thought that comes to your mind? Is it of a man who renounced the world? Or, is it of a man who is a God believer?
What if, I tell you neither of them exhibits spirituality?
What is Spirituality?
Is Spirituality something you can do? No.
Is it something you can achieve? No.
Is it something you can feel? Again, no.
Spirituality is a way of being.
Sadhguru says that Spirituality is being beyond physical. Everything we work for, once we achieve it, we feel blissful, get used to it and then we want something else.
That’s why, spirituality is not something that can be achieved physically.
Being spiritual ≠ Being religious
First, be very clear, you don’t have to be religious to be spiritual.
But, yes, having a strong faith and trust in something greater than us, does help.
However, for holding such a belief, you don’t necessarily assign yourself to a particular cult.
Does believing in God make you spiritual?
No.
We all believe in something.
A believes that there is God. B believes that there is no God. Both believe in something.
So, are both individuals spiritual?
Not necessarily.
Believing in something and being spiritual is not the same thing.
Being spiritual does not make you get into human debates about wrong and right. A spiritual being does not live in the boxes of perception.
So, what does it mean?
