Why walk when you can float on whipped cream and sprinkles?
This project explores the delicious boundary between luxury footwear and culinary art. Inspired by the nostalgia of pastel bakery treats, soft-serve ice cream, and childhood sprinkles, Sweet Step reimagines the classic platform heel as a decadent dessert.
With a metallic gold base, a stacked "macaron" heel in soft pastel shades, and a generous dollop of whipped cream, this shoe isn't just an accessory, it's a sensory experience.
A great design is all about the details. I wanted to capture the literal preparation of the "dessert." From showering the metallic gold leather in rainbow sprinkles to layering real whipped cream onto the shoe, the process was as messy as it was beautiful.
Playing with the surrealism of the concept, I captured playful, tongue-in-cheek moments of the model interacting with the "edible" elements of the shoe.
