Introduction.
1.       Nausena Drishti is an advanced maritime situational awareness system developed during a hackathon under 10 hours, showcasing innovation and efficiency under time constraints. This offline-capable solution leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models to extract, analyze, and visualize critical maritime data in real time. Designed to process surveillance logs, reconnaissance notes, and communication messages, it provides naval personnel with enhanced situational awareness for operational efficiency.
2.       Key Features.       
(a)      Purpose.      Enables naval officers to gain real-time maritime intelligence by analyzing diverse inputs such as text reports, images, and audio files.
(b)      Features:
(i)       Interactive Maritime Map:           Dynamically updates to reflect real-time vessel data, including coordinates, speed, heading, and type. Displays metadata such as time of report, ensuring a comprehensive view of maritime activities.
(ii)      OCR-Based Text Extraction:      Processes images and PDF reports to extract vessel details and operational information. Allows users to download extracted data as TXT files for further use.
(iii)      Chatbot Integration:        Corrects OCR errors and cross-references extracted data with previous reports. Responds to user queries, providing insights, future predictions, and potential threat assessments.
(iv)     Audio Transcription and Analysis:      Transcribes communication messages from uploaded audio files.  Analyzes transcriptions and updates maritime contact data seamlessly.
(v)      Search and Retrieval:      Enables quick retrieval of reports based on keywords or dates, streamlining access to relevant information.
(c)      Impact.        Provides naval personnel with a constantly updated, interactive, and secure platform for maritime intelligence, improving decision-making and operational readiness.
(d)      Offline Capability.            Designed to operate without internet access, ensuring data security in sensitive environments.
