Partner Platform PWA: Bypassing App Store Limits

The Core Problem: A UK-based MedTech brand faced strict App Store rejections due to their industry niche. They needed a way to bypass Apple/Google store limitations while providing a native app experience. The system also required a complex B2B affiliate logic, gated membership, and automated order routing to their main fulfillment center.

The Technical Solution: I engineered a high-performance Progressive Web App (PWA) using Flutter that installs directly on the user's phone.

• Auth & Access: Built on Firebase with custom-claims auth. Implemented a dual-use promo code system that acts as both a member registration gate and a partner referral attribution tool.

• Backend & API: Deployed 8 Cloud Functions (v2) to handle logic. Mapped Firestore items dynamically via POST requests to route orders directly to the external REST API.

• Payments & Shipping: Integrated Fena to Tide Open Banking for seamless checkout, alongside the Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 API for fulfillment. Built a custom partner portal for tracking earnings and managing bank withdrawals.

Measurable Business Impact: Successfully bypassed App Store restrictions with a 100% install success rate for members via the PWA. The system automated the entire fulfillment pipeline, routing thousands of pounds in orders directly to the warehouse with zero manual intervention. The custom partner portal successfully onboarded a network of B2B affiliates.
