At FinalLayer, the company aimed to help professionals create highly engaging LinkedIn posts and build personal branding using AI, but the platform lacked scalable AI integration and an efficient media processing workflow, which limited user engagement and post quality.
I was responsible for developing and optimizing the AI-powered content generation system, integrating real-time media tools, and implementing a robust post scheduling and analytics framework to improve user retention and engagement.
I designed and implemented a microservices-based backend using Node.js and NestJS, integrated OpenAI GPT-4 for personalized LinkedIn post suggestions, and created a video processing pipeline with FFmpeg for trimming, captioning, and embedding videos. I also developed a scheduler service using Bull to automate post publishing, added Redis caching for performance, and built an analytics dashboard to track post engagement and optimize AI recommendations. Additionally, I implemented subscription-based SaaS features with Stripe for multi-user management.
The platform was able to handle 10,000+ concurrent users generating personalized posts daily, reduced AI response latency by 40%, improved user engagement on posts by 35%, and enabled seamless media-rich content creation, leading to a measurable increase in subscription retention and overall platform growth.
