I was asked this perfectly valid (yet concerning) question whilst on a buddies’ golf trip in the fall of 2019.

Stepping up to the daunting tee shot at the 230-yard par-3 seventh hole at Dormie Club in North Carolina, I took a quick glance at my hand and the glove staring back at me just made me sad.

I couldn’t tell you where or when I bought that glove, it clearly didn’t fit me, and it was really worn out. It was not a good look.

Luckily, this subtle poke actually woke up my golf glove game.

After 18 months of research, I’ve set up Red Rooster Golf Gloves to provide the quality gloves that passionate golfers of all ages and backgrounds deserve.

Call me biased but golf is the greatest game in the world!

But just how can we convince the kids???

When I first enrolled my two daughters in the golf camp, we soon realised that gloves for their age group (6 - 8 years of age) were pretty hard to find. The pro shop in my local club had none in stock and neither did a local retailer.

In the end, I found suitable gloves online, but it took me weeks!

As a golfer dad, I felt let down. I was hoping to get the girls excited about the game and wanted us all to have the same ‘uniform’. Without the gloves, their gear was incomplete and it did not feel like I was giving them a proper welcome.

So, I came up with a solution:

Play-it-Forward: A golf glove purchased = a golf glove donated.

For every purchase of a Red Rooster Cabretta leather glove as part of our crowdfunding campaign, we’ll donate a golf glove to either your local club or an organisation that introduces young people to the game.
