luxmotionart on April 21, 2022: “Look & dev departments always need responsive and intuitive UI to present several iterations and design variations of the same product so I created this Uber shader for Nike’s design dpt. This shader allowed the user to edit a ton of shading features like diffuse, opacity, reflection, roughness, bump and displacement with a much more intuitive approach using simplified nodes on Redshift for Cinema 4D. The static render showing the number 54 embroided into a denim cylinder was a stress test done with Adobe Alchemy to check how far we could push the PBR shading workflow to get as much realism as possible without having to simulate microfibers stickong out from the cloth with real geometry or other tricks based on splines or real 3D displacement mapping”.
