I had the privilege of working on the Drone-Tech project, where I played a pivotal role in developing the backend infrastructure using Django Rest Framework. This exciting project was geared towards revolutionizing the agriculture industry by leveraging cutting-edge technology.At the core of the system, I designed and implemented a comprehensive set of GraphQL APIs, which served as the backbone for the entire platform. These APIs facilitated seamless communication between various components of the system, providing a flexible and efficient means of data retrieval and manipulation.The primary goal of the Drone-Tech platform was to streamline the process of booking drones for field spraying operations. I contributed to building the core functionality that enabled users to effortlessly schedule drone services for crop spraying. This involved designing user-friendly interfaces and integrating them with the backend, ensuring a smooth and intuitive booking process.One of the standout features of this project was the precise calculation of chemical usage. I developed algorithms and data models to accurately estimate the quantity of chemicals required for each operation, helping farmers optimize their resources and minimize waste.Additionally, I played a crucial role in mapping out drone flight paths. By utilizing advanced geospatial data and path-planning algorithms, we were able to calculate the most efficient routes for the drones. This not only saved time but also reduced operational costs.The Drone-Tech platform was not just limited to end-users. We also integrated functionalities for service providers, enabling them to manage their fleet of drones and chemical supplies. This included features for tracking maintenance schedules, monitoring drone health, and managing inventory.Throughout the project, I worked closely with a dynamic team of professionals, collaborating on various aspects of the system. This collaborative environment allowed us to continuously innovate and enhance the platform's capabilities.In conclusion, my experience on the Drone-Tech project was both challenging and rewarding. It gave me the opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking solution that aimed to revolutionize agriculture by harnessing the power of drones and advanced technology. From creating GraphQL APIs to optimizing chemical calculations and drone flight paths, this project encompassed a wide range of technical challenges, making it a valuable and memorable part of my career.
