Pet Rescue Rebrand

Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill animal rescue organization in Raleigh, NC, serving Wake and the surrounding counties. Founded in 1987 when three women committed themselves to helping homeless animals in the Triangle area. They began by fostering the stray cats & dogs they found. Word got around & other people who found strays would bring them to Second Chance.

Scaling and Vision

Second Chance will continue to expand in scale & reach over time to save ever more animals. Although our Vision, Mission & Values will remain unchanged, we expect to subtly adjust our underlying strategies & tactics as appropriate over time. A recent example of this was the use of a substantial portion of a donation bequest to significantly expand our spay/neuter program to reduce the proliferation of homeless animals.
