The Challenge

How can we make music recognition even more frictionless on iOS? While Shazam is integrated into Control Center and as a standalone app, the most natural way to interact with a voice assistant is through direct, intuitive voice commands. This project explores the "Just say Shazam" feature for Siri—removing the middle step and making music identification instantaneous.

The Solution

A native Siri integration that triggers Shazam's music recognition engine immediately upon the voice command "Shazam". Instead of the traditional "Hey Siri, what song is this?", the command itself becomes the trigger, reducing cognitive load and interaction time.

Process & Tools

Figma: Used for high-fidelity UI design, ensuring every pixel aligns with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
Adobe Premiere Pro: Leveraged to create a high-fidelity video prototype that demonstrates the seamless transition from the lock screen to the active music recognition state.
Keynote: Used to structure the final presentation and case study, focusing on the strategic value of system-level integration.

Outcome

The concept showcases a "zero-UI" approach where the interface only appears when necessary, providing a magical user experience that feels like a natural extension of the operating system.
