Spec project for Star of Hope Independent School, published with the school's approval. The school supplied no logo, colours or photographs, so names, figures and images are labelled placeholders on the page where they appear.
Brief
An admissions prospectus for the 2027 intake at a Grade R to 12 school in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga. Families read a prospectus to decide whether a school is worth a visit. It had to feel like a real, warm school and give a clear route through phases, fees and admissions.
Architecture and design system
The pages follow the way a family decides: trust first, then detail, then the next step. A word from the Head, values, the four phases of schooling, academics, life outside the classroom, the campus and an ordinary Tuesday, then fees and five steps to a confirmed place.
Each section has its own colour field inside one type system, so twelve pages still read as one document.
The last page sets out exactly what the finished prospectus needs from the school, so the handover is a checklist rather than a conversation.
Motion and visual delivery
The cover opens with a short animation that stays still for readers who prefer reduced motion. A save-as-PDF control and print styles turn the same file into the printed edition.
