A Mixed Media Exploration of Repurposed Fabric and Acrylic Paint

Chaela Chua

This thesis project, titled "A Mixed Media Exploration of Repurposed Fabric and Acrylic Paint to Re-illustrate 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' by C.S. Lewis," delves into using scrap fabrics sourced from tailoring shops, thrift stores, and donations. The project incorporates discarded textiles and unwanted clothes into the re-illustration, showcasing the creative potential of repurposed materials. Additionally, promotional materials for the newly re-illustrated book will be created. All work is for academic purposes only and not intended for plagiarism.
I made over 25 illustrations on 15"x20" illustration boards, exploring used clothes and acrylic paint as the primary mediums to re-illustrate the book.
