Book covers - Penguin edition

The English publishing house Penguin books wishes to launch a collection of 3 classic novels from its catalog in paperback. To launch this collection, it would like to equip itself with a new, original cover design.

Intention

All three books have a touching but dark story, which is why the covers differ from white to black. With illustrations in red to recall blood, totalitarianism and the vice and sin of stealing. Secondly, all these books were published between 1838 and 1950, but the choice graphics are based on current, simple shapes represented in the illustrations. The illustrations relate to elements of the book, while at the same time recalling the period, with the font which is reminiscent of handwriting.
